CONTINUE YOUR EDUCATION WITH PTA SCHOLARSHIPS
Educator & Volunteer Scholarship Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are due October 1, 2021.
To help you continue on your educational path, the California State PTA is proud to offer several continuing-education scholarship programs for school professionals and volunteers
Credentialed teachers, counselors, nurses and school staff who have a minimum of three years’ experience in a California public school are eligible to apply for the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship for School Staff. You must be employed in a California public school during the preceding year and plan to continue working in a California school.
PTA volunteers with at least three years of service are eligible to apply for the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship. Your scholarship must be used for advanced studies at accredited California colleges, universities, trade and technical schools.
GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS
Graduating Senior Scholarship Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are due February 1, 2022.
Two scholarships are available:
$500 Volunteer Services Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes graduating seniors for their volunteer service in schools and communities, allowing them to register for courses at accredited colleges, universities, trade or technical schools. Applicants must be PTA members graduating from a California high school between January 1 and June 30 of the current academic year.
$500 Dr. Ralph E. White Graduating Senior Scholarship
Honoring the volunteer and public-service legacy of Dr. Ralph E. White and his wife, Eleanor, this additional scholarship provides $500 each to two successful applicants of the Volunteer Service Scholarship who intend to pursue a career in a medical field.
All applicants are notified of their status in March. Scholarship winners receive a letter of congratulations and recognition certificate from California State PTA along with a check.
Fundraising for Schools & Community
PTAs engage in a wide variety of fundraising activities from the more traditional merchandise sales to creative Jog-a-Thons and Reading Rallies. Our School District's PTA is also the host of the annual Happy Valley Harvest Festival.
Teacher Appreciation
We reaffirm our commitment to parent-teacher partnerships by recognize educators during Teacher Appreciation week.
The decision to teach often comes with low-to-moderate pay and around-the-clock hours. Support from families can ease the difficult work teachers do. PTA Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect time to personally thank your students’ teachers for their sacrifices and support for children throughout the year.
